Starting next year, some immunocompromised people may receive a fourth Covid vaccine dose, the C.D.C. says.

The agency said that a booster could be administered at least six months after severely or moderately immunocompromised adults received a third dose of an mRNA vaccine that was authorized over the summer just for them.
